William Leckerling is a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocacy Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He concentrates his practice on employment law and matters involving professional negligence including medical malpractice, wrongful death, brain injuries, cerebral palsy, products liability, personal injury and construction claims. Mr. Leckerling has obtained numerous multimillion dollar recoveries for his clients including a 3.3 million dollar jury verdict in Bennington County, Vermont. In addition to his trial and litigation experience, he has been repeatedly acknowledged in the publication SuperLawyers for his proficiency in employment law. His employment law experience includes advising employers and employees concerning employment policies and procedures and lecturing employer groups on employment law issues. His clients are mostly individuals although he has represented multiple Fortune 500 companies as well as small business owners and condominium associations. Mr. Leckerling has been a director of the firm since 1990. Before joining the firm, he was associated with the medical malpractice law firm of Martin, Clearwater and Bell in New York, New York. He served two terms as President of the Board of Trustees of the Howard Center for Human Services and was chair of the Personnel Committee for over five years. He currently serves as a member of Vermont Law School’s Board of Trustees where he obtained his juris doctor in 1983. Mr. Leckerling is currently on the Board of Directors of the Vermont Family Network which serves children and adults who have special needs. He lives with his wife and three children in Charlotte, Vermont.
